20/04/20 — COVID-19 Preliminary Update: 1, 426 NEW cases

On 20 April 2020, Monday, Singapore reported 1, 426 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the national total to 8,014.

According to MOH, the “vast majority” of the new cases are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

16 new cases are Singaporeans or permanent residents.

More details will be released by MOH in its media release at night.
