As part of the Singapore Zoo’s 45th anniversary celebrations this year, it will be exhibiting an immersive rainforest night walk in July.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced at its tourism industry conference earlier today (April 17) that the event will be named Rainforest Lumina and will be a “night walk on the wild side” with “festive content”.
Through the event, Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), which governs the Singapore Zoo, hopes to provide a differentiated experience for both locals and tourists, regardless if they have visited before or not.
WRS also took into account the minimisation of disturbance to the park’s living collection and native wildlife.
In a teaser statement, STB’s deputy chief executive Melissa Ow also stated that guests will get to explore a 1km stretch of the tropical rainforest and be treated to “a mesmerising visual and aural experience”, adding that more details are to come.
