1. Gudetama Cafe

It’s hard not to fall in love with Gudetama. It’s a very accurate representation of what we all wish we could be, just lazing around in its shell all day long. But it’s even harder when there’s an entire cafe themed after it.

You can find many versions of this lovable egg everywhere at the Gudetama Cafe – on the walls, the tables and chairs, and of course, not forgetting the food. Take a look!

The food on the menu here is all named and decorated after DC characters, as you can see from the picture below. After your meal, head to the themed retail section of the cafe, where you can buy T-shirts, figurines, collectables and many more of your favourite superheroes.

6. Central Perk

F.R.I.E.N.D.S is arguably one of the best TV shows ever. Even if you’ve only ever watched one episode, or not at all, you’ll surely have heard of Central Perk, or seen its sign. But now you can personally visit the famous cafe where the show’s characters hang out. Fun fact, this is also the only F.R.I.E.N.D.S cafe outside of the United States that has been granted the intellectual property rights by Warner Brothers. Basically, it’s “approved“. Pretty impressive, right?

For fans of the show, some of the iconic artefacts you might find in the cafe include Monica’s kitchen, Rachel’s runaway wedding dress, Phoebe’s cat (found in the guitar case), Chandler and Joey’s foosball table. Even the food on the menu is picked after a thorough inspection of all the dishes made in the show itself!

7. Kumoya

We’ve saved the best for last. If you are a fan of themed cafes, which you probably are if you’re reading this article, Kumoya has it all. It has a pop-up style, which means that they change their theme every three months or so. Previous themes include Care Bears, My Little Pony and Pusheen, but right now Kumoya is a Snoopy-themed cafe.

Naturally, the food follows the theme of the cafe as well, just like the very Instagrammable decorations. Here, you can enjoy unique Japanese-French inspired savouries and light, fluffy hand-crafted petite eclairs, pancakes and plated yoghurt parfaits. But remember that the theme changes every three months, so plan a visit to the world of your favourite cartoon character and always keep a lookout to see who’s next!
