A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit Anmon Bintan Resort thanks to WeekendGoWhereSG. Finally, I had the chance to unwind over the weekends from my busy schedules, an escape from reality.
Upon arrival at Bintan Ferry Terminal, there is a shuttle bus service provided by the resort for us. Within 15 minutes, we were at the reception of Anmon Bintan Resort.
Getting around the resort
The resort also provides buggy ride services around the area or alternatively, you could walk. However, we were too excited to try the Vespa Scooters. It was the first thing we rented the moment we stepped foot into the resort. We opted for the 12-hour package and was told we could return them the next day in the morning. Not only were they fun and convenient, but they were also simply perfect for the photos!
As this resort had an interesting glamping theme, all the rooms are like huts; exactly like the ones you see in the movie Pocahontas. Despite being new, it was very comfortable, definitely an experience I have not tried before. Thankfully, we were given a corner room which faces the lagoon and had the luxury of a good view and privacy.
The room itself has a huge king-sized bed, some bean bags and even a cozy resting area right outside the tent. The toilet was spacious and decent, but do note it’s open-air so someone might actually hear you singing in the shower.
We were recommended to try the street food within the resort. Thus after unpacking our luggage, we took our Vespa scooter and visit the Street Food Stretch where we both had the Ayam Penyet. The food there approximately cost around S$3-4.
With a filled belly, we were ready to conquer the different activities. We were so spoilt for choices. From land activities like ATV, rodeo bull, and an airsoft gun, to water activities such as wakeboarding and cable ski at the Crystal Lagoon. Can I just say that the crystal lagoon is really such a dream! The water was as clear as the skies and the view was so beautiful. I still can’t get over it even till today. Not to mention the water mangrove tour outside of the resort where you can kayak and see fireflies at night.
Due to time constraint, we only had the chance to play the cable ski but nonetheless we had a blast. A reminder to those who wanted to play the cable ski, try not to grab on too tight cause your girl got blisters from it.
With generosity from Anmon Bintan, they provided us with a BBQ dinner with a wide spread of options. This is something I’d definitely recommend you to do with your loved ones.
Initially, we planned to play with the fireworks however we took a little too long to finish our dinner. By then, they were already closed. Thus, do note that their night activities end at 9.30PM so make sure you plan in advance if you don’t want to miss the chance as we did!
We woke up early for the breakfast they provided in the resort. There are so many options ranging from American breakfast to Local delights. My favourite was the Local breakfast. After the sumptuous breakfast, we went back to the crystal lagoon to lounge for a while more before we needed to pack up and leave for Singapore.
During this entire trip, I was so lucky to meet so many friendly staffs who were so accommodating to us. Their service is certainly a 10/10. With its lovely ambience and activities, I will definitely be back here again for another getaway with my friends and family, for sure.
