COVID-19 Daily Update 2020-04-01: 47 New Confirmed Cases, Total 926 in SG Now

As of 1 April 2020, 10am, there are 926 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Singapore. On 31 March 2020, there were 47 new confirmed cases.

Of the 47 new cases, 16 are imported cases. (Cases 882, 883, 885, 888, 890, 892, 895, 899, 901, 902, 905, 906, 913, 915, 917, 923) with travel history to Europe, North America, the Middle East, ASEAN countries, and other parts of Asia.

Of the remaining 31, 13 are linked cases. (Cases 881, 887, 889, 891, 897, 908, 914, 916, 921, 922, 924, 925, 926)

18 are unlinked cases. (Cases 880, 884, 886, 893, 894, 896, 898, 900, 903, 904, 907, 909, 910, 911, 912, 918, 919, 920)

  1. Westlite Toh Guan dormitory — (4 cases) Cases 922, 924, 925 and 926

SAF to defer all “Non-Operations-Essential” in Camp Training

  • SAF Trainings will be conducted in smaller groups and all “non-operations-essential” in camp training will be deferred at least until 30 April 2020
  • Individual Physical Proficiency Tests (IPPT), IPPT Preparatory Training (IPT), and remedial training at Fitness Conditioning Centres, Safra gyms and IPT-in-the-Park locations have been suspended
  • Critical functions such as island defence, protection of key installations, maritime security and air defence operations will still be performed with social distancing set in place

Extension of CHAS Subsidies and MediSave for Regular Follow-Ups through Video Consultation

  • Currently, use of CHAS subsidy and Medisave are only applicable for physical consultations
  • To support safe distancing measures, Ministry of Health (MOH) has introduced a time-limited and exceptional extension to CHAS Chronic Subsidy and Medisave for regular follow ups through Video Consultation from 3 April 2020
  • 7 chronic conditions covered are: Diabetes, Hypertension, Lipid Disorder, Major Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety
