COVID-19 Daily Update 2020-04-03: 1 New Confirmed Death, 49 New Confirmed Cases, Total 1049 in SG Now

As of 03 April 2020, 10am, there are 1049 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Singapore. On 2 April 2020, there were 49 new confirmed cases.

Of the 49 new cases, 8 are imported cases (Cases 1002, 1005, 1021, 1027, 1028, 1042, 1045 and 1048) with travel history to  Australia, Europe, South America, Africa, ASEAN and other parts of Asia.

Of the remaining 3926 are linked cases. (Cases 1001, 1003, 1004, 1008, 1009, 1011, 1012, 1013, 1015, 1020, 1023, 1024, 1026, 1029, 1030, 1031, 1032, 1034, 1035, 1037, 1039, 1040, 1041, 1043, 1046 and 1047)

The remaining 15 are currently unlinked cases. (Cases 1006, 1007, 1010, 1014, 1016, 1017, 1018, 1019, 1022, 1025, 1033, 1036, 1038, 1044 and 1049) Contact tracing is ongoing.

1 New Confirmed Death

  • 86 year-old female Singaporean had no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.
  • Admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) on Mar 31, and was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on the same day.
  • No other information has been given as of writing

3 New clusters identified

  • Mustafa Centre: 5 of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 6 previous cases, with a total of 11 cases
  • Construction site at Maxwell MRT: 2 of the latest cases were linked to 3 previous cases, with a total of 5 cases
  • Keppel Shipyard: 3 cases
