As of 25 April 2020, 10am, there are 12,075 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Singapore. On 24 April 2020, there were 897 new confirmed cases.
According to MOH, 853 cases were work permit holders residing in dormitories, while 19 were work permit holders staying outside of dormitories.
13 of the cases are Singaporeans or permanent residents, and 12 were work pass holders.
Death of case 8190: clarified
Case 8190 did not pass on due to complications of COVID-19, but was because of “multiple injuries consistent with those resulting from a fall from height”, according to MOH.

Dorm operator who locked migrant workers in room given ‘stern warning’ by MOM
You have probably heard of the great backlash that the managers of Joylicious Dormitory got after migrant workers rights group Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2) posted the plight of the workers on Facebook.
20 workers who were identified as close contacts of an infected were confined into a room and later transferred to a warehouse with an attached toilet.
According to MOM, they acted immediately after seeing the post on Facebook and gave the dorm operator a “stern warning”. Police investigations are ongoing.
