The 49-year-old Singaporean drunk driver even drove in the motorcycle lane.

Drink-driving is a serious offence as it poses danger not only to the driver but to other road users, (and) in this case, checkpoint users too

Only drink if you are sure that you will not be the one driving afterwards. While it is nice to celebrate on a Chinese New Year, it will not be nice to suffer afterwards.
