Yet another commendable achievement for Singapore! The National University of Singapore (NUS) has clinched the top spot in the Times Higher Education Magazine Asian University ranking yet again.

THE Asia University Rankings uses 13 performance indicators, such as research performance, teaching environment and research citations. The 2018 ranking has expanded to include 359 universities, up from 298 last year.

NUS has been ranked 1st by the London based editorial for three consecutive years. The school particularly excels in areas for teaching, research, citation impact and knowledge transfer.

Coming up in second and third place are China’s Tsinghua and Peking University respectively.

However, while NUS still claims the top spot, National Technological University has not fared as well, dropping one position to 5th place.

This may be the result of the rapid ascension of China Universities in global rankings.

Nonetheless, kudos to the universities for achieving such stellar results.
