South Korean K-pop group to visit Pyongyang?

North Korea’s ‘army of beauties’ made waves in South Korea awhile back, when they visited their democratic neighbors during the winter Olympics period.

It seems that South Korea does not want to lose out in showcasing their beauties, and is organizing a reciprocal visit to North Korea.

The K-pop group, Red Velvet, along with other prominent industry members, will be visiting the hermit Nation from Mar 31 to Apr 3, said South’s Ministry of Unification.

A total of 160 South Koreans will be visiting the north, including music industry veterans Cho Yong-pil and Lee Sun-hee.

They will be hosting two concerts in Pyongyang, one at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and the other at the Ryukyung Chung Ju Yung Gymnasium.

Officials will visit ahead of the event, to inspect the sites and ensure they can accommodate the group.
