Want to buy clothes that are CHEAP and try FAMOUS Thai delights? Head down to Bangkok’s Night Markets NOW!

Just a 2-hour flight away, you will find the heaven of night markets! Bangkok’s night market comes in all shapes and sizes with unique names given to each of them.

There are many night markets in Bangkok. It is hard for us, and even the locals to choose which market to shop TONIGHT! For all the shopaholics out there, these are the 5 night markets that you must visit.

1. Rot Fai Market, Srinakarin

A retro and vintage weekend night market that attracts all ages! You can find lots of vintage clothing and decorations here!

You can head down here to get a haircut in a vintage hair salon for an experience like no other!

It is also a very instagrammable location, so SNAP AWAY!

You can also find the famous seafood in the bag here! (STRONGLY recommended) They have different side dishes, such as butter corn and sausages. You can choose the type of sauce and your level of spiciness. I went with garlic butter sauce and medium spiciness and I remembered sweating profusely and even tearing while eating it. Not exaggerating, I have to warn you that it is really very very spicy BUT well worth your money!

Other than the variety of delicious treats available, you can also find your childhood snacks and toys in this night market. It definitely brought back many precious childhood memories for me and I ended up reminiscing on these good old times with my family and friends.

2. Rot Fai Market, Rachada

It is a smaller version of Rot Fai Market, Srinakarin but a more convenient location compared to the original market. Located just a stone’s throw away from the MRT station, Rot Fai Market is easily accessible and makes for a very convenient trip.

At Rot Fai Market, you should really try their stewed pork ribs. Their pork ribs are very tender and spicy, you can taste a bit of sourness in it too. After you have your first rib, you will want to take more and more. Trust me, I’ve been there before.

3. Chatuchak (Weekend Market)

Everyone that been to Bangkok will know this famous market, Chatuchak Market. Compared to other markets in Bangkok, this market has the most stalls and every week, there are thousands of people visiting it.

You can find anything and everything in Chatuchak Market. They sell a variety of items from street food to clothes to antiques and pets. Yes, even pets.

The most famous food that everyone will try is coconut ice-cream. You get to pick 2 to 3 toppings on your coconut ice-cream. There’s a variety of toppings such as corn, peanut and konjac jelly. Whenever I am eating coconut ice-cream at Chatuchak, I will choose konjac jelly, Nata-de-coco and their mangoes.

Despite the insane crowds, Chatuchak market is worth a visit for the variety of tasty delights and shopping bargains it offers.

Address:

Kamphaeng Phet 2 Rd, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900, Thailand

4. Talad Neon Night Market

Feeling extremely hungry? You have to come down to this market then!

Almost half of the night market sells delicious food. Head down to this night market to try many different kinds of food.

The first food that I recommend is flaming pork cubes. It is similar to the Taiwan style of beef cubes. These pork cubes are top with cheese and it melts in your mouth.

The second food that I recommend is Friend cheese, I bought it as a set with their famous Thai Milk Tea. It is very cheesy and very filling.

The last food that I have tried when I was there was the Volcano Seafood. They covered the food with a volcano-shaped rock and poured alcohol over it. When they lit it up with fire, it looks like an erupting volcano!

Inside the volcano, there are all kinds of seafood, such as prawns, clams, squid.

At this market, you can find lots of stalls that allow you to customize your own bags, wallets and even passport holders.

This market is a must-go after you shop at the wholesales mall!
