Astons shouldn’t be an unfamiliar brand to you if you ever ate western food before. They have stores island-wide offering a range of delicious meat-based main courses. Steaks, chops, sausages, and burgers all goes for under $10 if you don’t go too crazy in the selection. However, I often find myself choosing the double chicken chop of 2 different flavours, sided with mac & cheese and potato salad, for a pocket burn of $15. #Worth.

Affordable food can always be related back to Eighteen Chefs. It used to be the best option for a cheap and great meal back in school days, and it still is right now. They are still offering the student meal for $6.40, never change for years. Their “Be Your Own Chef” option caters well to those who don’t want to burn a hole in their pocket, with awesome baked rice and pasta below $10. There are also many Eighteen Chef outlets spread across Singapore, if you ever feel that Orchard is too far of a journey.
