Great events are happening all over Singapore. Here are just a few exciting events happening over the month of September
Grand Prix Season Singapore- Catch the world’s top race car drivers and immerse yourself in the non-stop action at the Grand Prix Season Singapore in September. The 2018 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix will amaze everyone once again with the state-of-the-art racing machines blazing through the streets in Singapore.
King of Mandopop Jay Chou, American rock band The Killers, British rock star, and former Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher, international top DJ Martin Garrix, English pop
star Dua Lipa, British soul, and pop band Simply Red and many other globally renowned performers will also be in Singapore to perform.
Also, Singapore’s first Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling and famous Race Driver Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull Racing will also make a special appearance at TAG Heuer’s roadshow.
Indian Heritage Centre CultureFest- Find out more about the Peranakan Indian Communities at the Indian Heritage Centre. The Chetti Melaka of the Straits exhibition will showcase the colourful culture of the Chetti Melaka community through artefacts, food and garment displays.
Mid-Autumn Festival Light-Up- The Mid-Autumn Festival Festival at Chinatown will showcase exciting, colourful and vibrant programmes for the whole month. Head down to Chinatown with your family to check out the colourful lanterns and dazzling decorations. The Official Light-Up and Opening Ceremony will be held on 8 September 2018 (Saturday) at New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street. There will also be dance performances by local and China dance troupes.
Apart from the Light-up ceremony, you can also adopt-a-lantern which you fancy during the mid-autumn festival and bring it home after a successful application is made with the People’s Association.
Singapore Experience Lab – It is a showcase of Singapore’s past, present and future tourism products in the comfort of a conserved shophouse. You can join a 30-minute experiential tour and go on a journey that introduces Singapore’s hidden stories which are narrated through augmented reality, interactive project mapping, bespoke installation and doodle art.
The Singapore Experience Lab is showcased at the Singapore Visitor Centre@Orchard Gateway.
Sentosa Sandsation- Sentosa will waive island admission fees for all Singapore residents during the September school holidays, Sentosa Development Corporation said on Aug 24 also mentioned that visitors who are driving into Sentosa in Singapore-registered vehicles, and those who enter via the Sentosa Express trains, will gain free admission between Sep 1 and Sep 16.
Also, 14 of the world’s best sand sculptors will also face off against one another in the Sentosa International Sand Sculpting Championship this year! The theme for this year’s competition is MARVEL, and the best sand sculptor will walk away with the Golden Shovel Award!

Singapore Tea Festival- Tea drinking is a very excellent thing to get into. So if you are a fan of tea, here’s an event that you cannot miss. This is the second edition of the Singapore Tea Festival. The STF this year will be held from the 21st – 23rd of September at ION Orchard with 28 tea merchants gathered at Basement 4 of ION Orchard. Expect a range from Timeless Classics featuring single-origin tea, to Modern Blends inspired by local flavours in this year’s STF. They also feature International Flavours such as matcha soft-serve and lifestyle-related merchandise.
