GOOD NEWS! Singapore will be moving to Phase 2 on 19th June!!
This means that all of us can finally get out of our house and lead our lives normally again! Or can we?
Well, even though you can go out during phase 2, there are some rules and regulations you will still have to adhere to.
But, fret not! We are here to break down things for you! Here’s a simplified list of things you can or cannot do during phase 2!
1. Can I FINALLY meet my friends?
Yes, you can! Yay to the end of meeting through zoom! 😜
However, while small-group social gatherings are allowed, do note that there will be a restriction of up to 5 people.
So if your clique have more than 5 members, its time to decide who you guys like more 😉
2. Can I dine-in?
‘If I can meet friends should be can dine-in right? If not we won’t have anything to do if we meet up…’
YES food and beverage dine-in will be allowed! However, the same rule as social gathering applies, only up to 5 people will be allowed to sit together.
And to those who are looking forward to listening to live music or watching some live screenings while dining-in, I’m sorry to disappoint but you won’t be able to do so.
Live music, television, and video screenings will not be allowed in all F&B outlets at this stage.
3. Can go gym already?
Can! Now you no longer need to follow Chloe Ting’s workout while being stuck at home anymore 😉
Furthermore, not only are gyms operating in Phase 2, playgrounds, beaches, lawns and fields, stadia, swimming complexes, sports halls, hard courts, fitness studios, bowling centres and function rooms will open as well!
4. What about tuition and other private enrichment classes? Can go?
Yes! You can now attend tuition and other private enrichment classes! (Sorry kids, sounds like bad news for all of you).
However, do note that singing or voice training classes will NOT be allowed. But, it’s okay la! Karaoke outlets won’t be open anyway no one will know how bad you’re at singing. (Unless you on 全民 Party 😜)
5. Can go watch movies or bars?
‘Since I cannot go karaoke, can I go watch movies or go to bars to spend time with my friends?’
Nope, I’m sorry you won’t be able to do so. Entertainment venues such as bars and cinemas will remain closed.
6. Can I hold large-scale events?
No cannot! Please don’t be the reason why we have to reactivate Circuit Breaker okay!! 😣
This also means birthday parties (with lots of guests) at home won’t be allowed as well! Remember only a maximum of 5 people is allowed to visit a household during Phase 2!
7. Can I study or do work outside of my home?
Nope, cannot. You won’t be able to go to the library to study or get some work done as libraries are considered as large cultural venues.
If your house is unconducive, I’m sorry, I can relate as well! (Not gonna lie, but I do miss the times when I used to study in the library, so you not alone if you’re feeling sad after finding out about this information!)

8. Can my kids go to school every weekday again?
Yes, can, from 29 June 2020 onwards, schools will resume as per normal.
The Ministry of Education will reveal more details regarding this on a later date.
Time for the parents to rejoice! You can finally work from home in peace now 😍
