Woman told “bo bian” after slurping up insect from drink

Food defects and invasive insects have been on the gradual rise lately.

And that was what Maisie Low experienced at Yishun 925 Chicken Rice after slurping up the creature through her straw whilst enjoying her daily Kopi Peng.

Hygiene standards at coffee shops are not particularly exceptional, yet what customers would expect is basic cleanliness at the very least.

The coffee auntie supposedly told her “Bobian” (Nothing much I can do)

Understandably, Maisie was upset at the customer service ( or lack thereof).

Although, the auntie did try to make amends by offering her another cup.
